KOYA

Koya on frith street, Soho is pretty awesome. Classic Japanese udon noodles, with hot & cold options and a large range of specials that cross the line from japanese to english.

Koya recently got a mention from chef David Chang in Lucky Peach as one of his favourite places to go when in london, which is a pretty big deal.

I thoroughly enjoyed everything i had apart from the pickled cabbage with bergamot (i ordered pickles and they had none, this was the special on), i can safely say that this was the most disgusting thing i have ever eaten in my entire life. Slimy and revolting.

Stick to the noodles i say!

I started eating pretty much everything before i took a photo. Pork belly cooked in stout and honey with the strongest mustard i've ever had.



Fish tempura, little dull but was still nice none the less.




Emily refused to ask for a fork, i dont even know if they have forks. 



The worst thing i've ever put in my mouth. lol.

Beef Atsu-Atsu hot udon in hot broth.



Same again but with duck, only 3 small pieces along with what i think were 3 pork balls. I think...

Definitely will be going here again for my udon fix.
